BEACH UNIFORM POLICY
Pacific Beach
Middle School has a Uniform Dress Code, which focuses on maintaining
a safe, orderly campus and emphasizes creating a positive
learning and teaching environment.
Students are expected to wear:
• SOLID Navy Blue, White, or Khaki Tan slacks, pants, shorts, skirts,
dresses and jumpers.
• Collared shirts may be a combination of navy blue, white, or khaki
tan.
• Navy blue or white crew neck T-shirts with SCHOOL LOGO or LOGO FREE.
• Outerwear (jackets/sweatshirts) preferred colors are Navy Blue,
White, or Khaki Tan. Non-uniform outerwear
must be removed when entering school. For hooded sweatshirts, students are not allowed to wear the hoods up during school hours.
PACIFIC BEACH STANDARD DRESS CODE
All students will dress in clothing that:
• is clean and in good repair with no un-hemmed, frayed or split-seam
pants, shorts, cuffs;
• maintains a positive educational environment, free from distracting
or drawing attention to the student;
• is free of any advertisement or promotion of any alcohol, drugs,
tobacco products; gambling or violence;
• is free of any depictions/illustrations that demeans or negatively
represents any gender, race, color, ethnicity, religion, national
origin, disability or sexual orientation;
•
fits neatly at the waist without “sagging” or having
an excessively tight fit;
• appropriately covers the body; that is no bare midriffs, low v-neck,
scoops, tank tops, muscle shirts, spaghetti straps, short shorts,
high side seam cut shorts/skirts; appropriate shoes with no open
or high heels;
• shorts must be worn at mid-thigh
• is not perceived as having a gang affiliation, including bandanas,
dog chains/chokers, wallets with chains, dangling belts, insignia
belts/buckles, sports team jerseys/jackets;
Hats/caps, Navy Blue, White, or Khaki Tan, are permitted ONLY during
PE. Hats may not be worn inside buildings/classrooms or during
passing periods; hoods should be removed while on campus to allow
for student
identification.
